How does the display screen work?

You can customize your waffle with the help of the display screen.

The dial selects the color of the waffle by adjusting the temperature.

The selection button lets you choose the cooking time ahead of time:

-Faster cooking time for waffles that are soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside.

-A slower cooking time for an even crunchier waffle all the way through

For a croque monsieur or panini, select 2.5 and soft

For cooking meat, select 2 and soft

When will the waffle maker beep?

What is the light for?

The green light is to signal the end of the preheating cycle and end of cooking cycle. The orange light is to signal that the power is on.

How do I clean the plates?

After a few minutes of soaking in warm soapy water, clean with a soft sponge and rince. Dry well before replacing the plates on the appliance.

How long do the waffles need to cook?

It takes about 6 minutes for the waffle to cook through, though this can change depending on the temperature and the consistency of the batter. We recommend using room-temperature batter to reduce the cooking time.

How to clean the trays of my appliance ?

Typically, after soaking a few minutes, clean with a soft sponge soaked in mild detergent and rinse with warm water. Dry thoroughly before putting the trays on the appliance.

How do I know when my waffles are ready?

Once the light turns off, your waffles are ready. You can close the appliance and prolong the cooking time if they are not yet golden to your liking. If they are overcooked, try taking them out a bit earlier next time.

How do I clean my crêpe maker?

Use an oil-soaked paper towel if you regularly use your crepe maker, otherwise use a sponge with a little dishwashing liquid.

We recommend greasing the edges of the stencils so that the crêpes don't stick.

Why isn't there a large ladle included in the kit?

You can use any kind of soup ladle (+/-80ml) to make large crêpes.

How do I clean the stencils?

The cheese is taking a long time to melt, is this normal?

We recommend taking the cheese out of the refrigerator one hour before eating, and to pre-heat your raclette machine.

How do I clean my raclette trays?

Clean them with a non-abrasive sponge in warm soapy water. Do not scrub with metallic or abrasive objects, as this can damage the non-stick coating.

The base of my Grill'pierre is oxydized, is this normal?

The oxidation of your base is due to the placing of the stone when it is not completely dry. The stone is a porous material, it may, after cleaning and drying, it may continue to exude moisture. We advise you to store the stone apart from the base.

The meat takes a long time to cook, is this normal?

Cut your meat into thin oblong slices. This machine is designed to cook small pieces of meat to compliment your other dishes, it is not designed to cook large pieces of meat like a plancha or barbecue.

My stone has split during use, how is this possible?

The stone is a natural material which can sometimes be subject to small fissures accumulated with repeated use. This is a very rare phenomenon.

How do I clean the glass on my Raclette machine?

For the removable tray, soak in warm soapy water. Scrape the remaining residues with a spatula and scrub with a sponge. Dry well. For impeccable results, there are products available for ceramic glass.

For the fixed trays, clean with a warm soapy sponge. Do not use an abrasive or metallic sponge, as you risk scratching the glass. Gently turn the appliance over to clean the under side of the glass plates. Dry with paper towel.

Can my ceramic fondue pot stick?

The ceramic pot is designed to be non-stick. It is scratch resistant and more environmentally friendly than a pot coated with non-stick or Teflon coating.

What are the markings on the side of the fondue thermostat?

The markings are a point of reference for the type of fondue you're making. We recommend level 2-3 for chocolate, 3-4 for cheese and 3-4-5 for oil or broth based fondue.

How do I clean the fixed plate of my Plancha?

Clean the cooking surface with paper towel, then with a damp sponge and a small amount of liquid detergent. Wipe clean with a sponge and let dry. Caution: do not use a metallic sponge or scouring powder.

My ice cream is rock hard, why is that?

This is due to the ingredients used to make the ice cream. It's the same for store-bought ice cream: chocolate will always be firmer than vanilla (due to fat content). We recommend taking the ice cream out of the freezer a few minutes before serving.

My ice cream is flaking, is this normal?

Some flaking is normal, yes. All water-based recipes have the tendency to flake.The texture of a sorbet won't be the same as ice cream.

Can I make Italian gelato?

No, you can only make traditional ice cream and sorbets.

The ice is taking a long time to form, what can I do?

If you notice a longer freezing time than what is noted in the instructions, try adding 30ml of sugar-free alcohol (vodka, whisky, pure alcohol with minimum 40% proof) into the fixed tank.

Why has the blade stopped turning?

If the blade is no longer turning it means your mixture is ready.

How do I clean the stone of my Grill' Pierre® ?

To clean the stone, you must first scrape the surface of the stone with a metal scraper to
eliminate most of the cooking residue.

Clean the stone surface with a sponge and water without liquid dish soap. Never put the stone in the dishwasher and do not soak.

Use of steel wool or scouring pad is possible but may erase the glossy appearance of the stone (no impact on the functionality of the stone).

The stone top of my Grill-Pierre is sticking, what do I do?

To prevent the phenomenon of cold food sticking to a hot surface , we suggest you remove the food from the refrigerator 2 hours before cooking. You can also lightly oil the stone just before the placing of food. Moreover, don't try to flip the meat immediately after they have been placed on the stone, but wait for the meat to cook a little so it releases its juices to make it less difficult to flip.
